Application for the matRad Workshop 2025

Application Procedure and Documents

All candidates for the matRad Workshop 2025 will be selected by the course leaders, based on the following application documents:

  • Short text about your personal link to the workshop topic (to be filled in as plain text on the application portal (no Word Files or PDF allowed))

If you would like to present your project during the workshop, please additionally prepare a short project description or abstract, based on the following criteria: 

  • Language: English
  • Format: PDF
  • Length: max. 250 words, plus max. 5 references if available (not counted torwards the limit of 250 words)
  • Authors: please name all author/s including their affiliations (not counted torwards the limit of 250 words)
  • Further hints:
    • Contact details: please include your official e-mail address as the first and presenting author. Do not use your private e-mail address. Please do not list the e-mail address of the other authors on the abstract. 
    • Image: max. 1 image
    • Others: link to code repository (e.g. your GitHub matRad Fork & Branch) if available

If you only would like to participate in the workshop, you have to prepare at least the short text about your personal link to the workshop topic.

Travel Grant

If you would like to apply for the travel grant, please additionally submit the following documents: 

  • Short statement why you need the travel funds (to be filled in as plain text on the application portal (no Word Files or PDF allowed))
  • Tabular CV in English (including publications, conference contributions (e.g. talks or posters), awards, scholarships etc. if appropriate) as one PDF
  • Recommendation Letter in English as one PDF (max. 1 DIN A4 page) including business affiliation and signature of the issuing person
    Please note: 
    The recommendation letter should be on the official layout/design of the person's institute. Furthermore, the affiliation as well as the contact details of the writing person must be clearly indicated on the letter as well as the signature (either manually or digitally). In the recommendation letter, your professor or boss should explain why you fit as a candidate for the workshop and why you need financial support. A general recommendation letter without any link to the workshop cannot be accepted.

Please note: travel grants are only awarded to candidates who also have submitted their project description.
