Grants Office

Alongside program-oriented funding provided by Federal and State sources, project funding constitutes a considerable share of research financing at the DKFZ. Scientists apply for these additional funds at national research funding institutions, private foundations, companies, and trade associations. The funds are used for financing research projects which cannot or can only partly be covered by the budget.

The Grants Office provides information about possibilities and conditions of project funding and takes charge of its administrative management. It offers support in submitting funding requests, sets up budgets, takes charge of project management and ensures correct accounting with the respective funding sources. In addition, it deals with contract issues in project funding.
