Your way to us
The German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) is located in Neuenheimer Feld in Heidelberg, one of the largest scientific campuses in Europe. The DKFZ is easily accessible by public transportation. Here you will find all important information on how to get there and parking facilities on site.
Car
Due to the limited number of parking spaces in Neuenheimer Feld, we recommend using public transportation.
The public parking garage P25 is about a 10-minute walk from the DKFZ. Click here for more information.
Direct access to the main entrance of the main building (but no parking spaces available there, short stops are possible):
If you are using a navigation device, please enter "Kirschnerstraße" as your destination address. Once you have reached Kirschnerstraße, drive until you see the blue and white DKFZ flags directly in front of the DKFZ main building.
From the A5:
At the Heidelberg interchange, change to the A 656 in the direction of Heidelberg.
From the A 656 coming from Mannheim:
Follow the highway towards Heidelberg until it ends. Change to the left lane. Get into the left-hand lane at the first set of traffic lights and follow the signs for "Eberbach/HD-Wieblingen/Chirurgie". Follow the main road, drive under the Neckar bridge (Ernst-Walz-Brücke) and then immediately turn right (direction "Weinheim/Neuenheim/Handschuhsheim"). Turn right at the traffic lights and cross the Neckar, changing to the left-hand lane at this point. At the first set of traffic lights after the bridge, get into the left-hand lane (direction "Chirurgie/DKFZ") and turn into Jahnstraße. Follow the signs to the public, paid parking lots.
B3 from Darmstadt:
1 km after entering Heidelberg, turn right (towards Chirurgie) into Berliner Straße (please ignore signs for "DKFZ Technologiepark"!). At the intersection Berliner Str./Mönchhofstr. (landmark: Shell gas station on the left side) turn right into Mönchhofstr. Follow the signs to the public, paid parking lots.
B3 from the direction of Leimen/Wiesloch:
In a northerly direction, follow the signs for "Hauptbahnhof". Drive past the main station and cross the Neckar on Mittermaierstraße (left lane). At the first set of traffic lights after the bridge, get into the left-hand lane (direction "Chirurgie/DKFZ") and turn into Jahnstraße. Follow the signs to the public, paid parking lots.
