Lea obtained her BSc in Molecular Medicine in Tübingen, then completed her MSc in Cancer Biology in Heidelberg. While doing practical work in this group and in Zürich, she realized that computational biology is not quite as scary as she once thought. Now, for her PhD she will focus on single-cell transcriptomic analyses in the context of aging and evolution. Her other interests also include cancer development and heterogeneity. She likes inline skating and doing embroidery and is also a big fan of all kinds of noodle soup.
