Therapeutic HPV16 vaccination – in vitro characterization and subsequent validation in a MHC-humanized murine model
Our group aims to develop a therapeutic HPV16 vaccine capable of inducing a strong immune response to eliminate the infection. This project was about characterizing a new nanoparticle vaccine in vitro and in vivo. Uptake by antigen presenting cells and target epitope presentation was confirmed. Vaccination studies in MHC-humanized mice showed induction of HPV epitope-specific T cells, validating the further development of this vaccine platform.
