I am interested in how salience, particularly reward, influences episodic and spatial memory. Specifically, my research project focuses on the question of how the ventral tegmental area (VTA) influences computations in the entorinal cortex (EC). To explore this, I use in vivo single-unit electrophysiological recordings and chemogenetic activation of dopaminergic neurons in behaving mice.
