RNA, which is transcribed from DNA, is subjected to many different chemical modifications.
Fu looks into the question how RNA modifications affect the production of proteins in a cell and how they influence cancer development.
Fu hopes his findings could eventually lead to a clinical drug in cancer treatment. He is also interested in the role of RNA modifications in wound healing.
