Bachelor of Science - Occupational Safety (DHBW Karlsruhe) (m/f/d)
Your dual study program in occupational safety at the DKFZ
The Occupational Safety course is an interdisciplinary technical course that combines mathematical, scientific and engineering content in relation to sustainability. The subject of sustainability is particularly highlighted in the course with regard to the aspects of economy, ecology and society - this requires skills in natural sciences, technologies, law and basic knowledge of economic evaluation (life cycle assessments). In addition, in-depth professional knowledge in the fields of occupational safety, paper technology, radiation protection, packaging technology and environmental protection technology is taught in the course modules. The practice-oriented overview of the entire field is used as a basis for in-depth study of specific subjects in which the application of scientific working methods is practiced. This is intended to initiate theoretical and systematic thinking in contexts.
Your dual study program lasts six semesters. It begins on September 1 and starts with an introductory week. The course alternates regularly between lectures at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Karlsruhe (DHBW) and several practical phases at the DKFZ.
