School of Prevention

In the National Cancer Prevention Center, an innovative training and advanced training center for scientists and health experts, the School of Prevention, is being established. The School of Prevention aims to train highly talented young scientists and to establish non-academic careers in the field of cancer prevention.

By interweaving basic research with specific cancer prevention research and the model application within the prevention outpatient clinic under one roof, following the example of the Comprehensive Cancer Centers, the National Cancer Prevention Center will provide attractive and high-quality education and training opportunities for young talents from all over the world.

Cancer Prevention Graduate School

With the aim of offering a comprehensive training to excellent scientists to become experts in cancer prevention, Deutsche Krebshilfe launched the first graduate school for cancer prevention research in Germany. The coordination office of the new national graduate school is located at the DKFZ in Heidelberg. Deutsche Krebshilfe is funding the graduate school with three million euros.
