Patrick Godau studied Math (Bachelor 2015, Master 2019) and Computer Science (Bachelor 2018), specializing at their intersection: theoretical computer science. Moving forward he started his PhD at the German Cancer Research Center, tackling the problem of "learning in isolation" and investigating strategies to optimally share knowledge across tasks and data sets. His work is closely connected to Transfer-Learning, Meta-Learning, Multi-Task-Learning, Auto-ML and Continual-Learning. Since 2022 he both leads the subgroup of "Intelligent Systems in Endoscopy" as well as the division's "Good Scientific Practice" initiative on quality control.
