Artem Shmatko

Artem received a specialist degree in Chemistry from Moscow State University, with his thesis focused on refining spectroscopy data using Bayesian statistics. Artem first joined the Gerstung group in 2019 as an intern, studying the clonal evolution of breast cancer using spatial transcriptomics. In 2021, he started his PhD, focusing on using Deep Learning to integrate histology images and transcription data for various cancer types.
