Anna Mathioudaki

Anna studied Biology in Patras, Greece and then continued to do her MSc in Molecular Biology-Biomedicine at IMBB-FORTH in Crete. Afterward, she pursued her PhD at EMBL-Heideleberg where she utilised single cell technologies to unravel the interplay of the tumour microenvironment with haematological malignancies, like AML and lymphoma. Anna's long term goal is to combine her wet and dry lab skills to uncover the recurrent patterns of cancer across different entities. In the Gerstung lab, Anna is leveraging cutting-edge spatial single-cell technologies to explore the context in which cancer cells 'thrive' in the brain.
