Core Facility

Cellular Tools

Dr. Rainer Will

The Cellular Tools Core offers standardized vector and clone resources as well as modular services for cell-based gain- and loss-of-function technologies. All service modules are offered as stand-alone services, in combination, or as a complete service pipeline, to give you a maximum of flexibility and support.

Services

A flowchart outlining various biological research services. It includes components like vector and clone repository, Gateway Shuttle Service, Virus Transduction Service, Stable Isogenic Cell Line Service, Single Cell Dispensing Service, and Crispr-Cas9 KO Service, with user-provided materials indicated throughout.
The image shows a microscopic view of cellular structures, featuring a distinct circular pattern highlighted in green, surrounded by dark, irregularly shaped cells. The contrast emphasizes the outline and texture of the central structure within the cellular environment.

Toolbox

Central collection of sequence-verified vectors and clones, including human ORF clones from the international ORFeome Collaboration.

  • ~  70% of all protein-coding human genes  (Open Reading Frames - ORFs) in a universal cloning format  (Gateway®)
  • > 80 different expression vectors expression vectors  for mammalian, insect, yeast, and   E.coli expression.
  • > 50 Halo-Tag & luciferase reporter vectors  for protein tagging
  • > 40 dual luciferase reporters to quantify activities of oncogenic pathways
  • For technical reasons we process orders weekly on Wednesday. Clone & Vector orders placed before are usually ready for pickup Thursday or Friday.
