Your dual study program in Business Administration specialising in Industry at the DKFZ
As a Bachelor's student in Business Administration specialising in Industry, you will work in the administrative departments that ensure that scientists can conduct research at the DKFZ on a daily basis. Laboratory materials have to be ordered, new scientists hired and budgets distributed accordingly. You will work independently on all these and many other tasks and help to ensure that the scientists at the DFKZ can achieve excellent research results.
Your dual study program lasts six semesters. It begins on September 1 and starts with an introductory week. The course alternates between the Cooperative State University Mannheim and the DKFZ as a company office. At the Cooperative State University, you will be taught theory in the subjects of business administration, economics, mathematics, statistics, human resources, law and much more. You will then apply what you have learned in the practical phases at the DKFZ. You will get to know all the important functional areas, such as procurement and materials management, the finance department and the human resources department. You will complete your Bachelor's thesis in the sixth semester. After successful completion, the course ends with the title "Bachelor of Arts."
