• Your apprenticeship lasts 3 years.
• If you perform well, you can bring forward your final examination.
• At the Center for Preclinical Research, you will be trained in various areas such as isolator, barrier and SPF maintenance and will be part of small teams.
• A team of competent trainers will accompany you during your apprenticeship. This means you will always have a contact person at your side.
• Vocational school lessons take place at the Bertha-von-Suttner school (in Karlsruhe-Ettlingen) in block form.
• In addition to the vocational school lessons, we will support you within the framework of internal teaching units.
• You will take your intermediate and final exams at the Rhine-Neckar Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

• Good secondary school leaving certificate
• German at least at level B2, basic knowledge of English
• Sensitivity in dealing with animals
• Sense of order, cleanliness and hygiene
• Strong sense of responsibility
• Aptitude and willingness to do physical work
• Social skills, good ability to concentrate
• Unfortunately, an animal hair allergy is not compatible with the apprenticeship.
