Ingenuity Pathway Analysis

Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (Qiagen IPA) has been broadly adopted by the life science community and relies on manually curated data. The content in the unterlying QIAGEN Knowledge Base updated both weekly (journal articles) and quarterly (journal articles and databases). Weekly updates are made to Gene Views, Chem Views, and Molecular Networks. Full content releases to IPA (including disease and function relationships) occur quarterly. At DKFZ access is managed by the Microarray Core Facility since around 15 years with great popularity.

IPA allows e.g. to:

  • Perform GO-term like analysis
  • Identify relevant targets for a given set of microRNAs
  • A novel approach to transcription factor prediction
  • Predict effects on downstream biological processes and disease
  • Compare your analysis to over 200,000 published analyses (Analysis Match)
  • Contextualize your findings with a curated collection (700.000 samples from public repositories) of disease 'omics data (Land Explorer for Qiagen IPA)
  • Visualize & explore isoform-specific biology to support RNA-Seq analysis
  • The chemical view provides access to chemical content describing therapeutic information, target protein, toxicity, bioavailability, LD50, PK/PD, metabolism, CAS number, synonyms (including systematic name and brand names for drugs), chemical formula, and SMILES notation.
  • Search the scientific literature for insights relevant to your experiment, finding information from the full text of the scientific literature, incl. information about genes, drugs, chemicals, cellular and disease processes, and signaling and metabolic pathways.
