Paul Ginno grew up in northern California and did his undergraduate work at CSU Chico and the University of Tübingen. Paul then earned his PhD under the tutelage of Frédéric Chédin at UC Davis studying mammalian epigenetics before doing a postdoc in Dirk's Schübeler's group in at the FMI in Basel studying gene regulation. Paul's research interests include comparative genomics, proteomics, gene regulation and cancer biology. His non-scientific interests include sports, music, games, recreational reading and sharing all these activities with his sons. Paul has absolutely no sense of direction and is extremely good at nonchalantly entering strange laboratories.
